Business Excellence is about how you structure and manage your business. The fundamental business rules do not change from one year to the next hence the categories have been divided to suit the percentage of organisational size spread across the Waikato region.
In addition to entering the category that matches your business size, you may also enter the Leader of the Year Award.
FTE = Full Time Equivalentse.g. 3 FT plus 3 x 0.4 PT = 4.2 FTE
0.4 = 16 hours p/w
5FT plus 2 x 0.5 PT + 3 x 0.25 PT = 6.75 FTE
0.5 = 20 hours p/w
0.25 = 10 hours p/w
0.25 = 10 hours p/w
WEL Networks 1 – 5 FTE Businesses that employ 1 to 5 FTE’s
Wintec 6 – 15 FTE Businesses that employ 6 to 15 FTE’s
Deloitte 16 - 30 FTE Businesses that employ 16 to 30 FTE’s
LIFE Unlimited 31 – 49 FTE Businesses that employ 31 to 49 FTE’s
Gallagher 50 plus FTE Businesses that employ 50 or more FTE’s
Waikato Management School Leader of the Year Award
This category is open to any CEO, MD or General Manager working full time in an organisation with 10 or more full time equivalent staff, who demonstrates outstanding leadership and contribution to industry.
Westpac Waikato Business of the Year Award
The winner of this overall supreme award will be selected from the category finalists.
